Portland, OR — The Twisters entered Season 6 looking to bounce back after a disappointing campaign that ended with a first-round playoff exit in five games.

The biggest move of the offseason came when the Twisters traded away franchise defenseman Koso to the Seattle Stormbreakers in exchange for three second-round draft picks. Koso averaged over 35 points during his time with the Twisters but struggled heavily in playoff runs.
 

Through free agency, the Twisters brought in Konstantin Pastushenko, who averaged 50 points over the years with the Dynasty and Chaos. He is expected to play on the second line alongside Jordie Daley and Greyson Tordoff. This line is projected to be the primary scoring unit for the Twisters this season.
 

The second major free-agent signing was Jordie Daley, who averaged over 60 points during his time with the Razorbacks and Harfang. While Daley had a down year last season, recording just 17 points in 55 games, it was clear he was not being utilized effectively with the Harfang. The addition of these two proven offensive players should provide a significant boost to the Twisters’ scoring attack.

The Twisters are also calling up prospect Tommy Van Loon, who averaged 60 points over the past few seasons with the Vipers. Expectations are high for the young forward as he makes the jump to the big club.
 

At the Season 5 Entry Draft, the Twisters made three selections, the most draft picks they have made in a single year in franchise history.

With the 56th overall pick in the third round, they selected defenseman Mario Vazan. Vazan recorded 22 points in 65 games last junior season with the Chill.

With their second selection, they drafted defenseman Taras Pervago, who posted 41 points in 82 games last season with the Nighthawks.
 

Their final selection was goaltender Reid Rierdon, who finished his season with the Howlers posting a 2.57 GAA and a .908 save percentage.

The scouting report on both defensemen highlights them as elite offensive talents who could play a major role for the Twisters in the coming years. It is no secret that franchise goaltender Ash Galvin is nearing the end of his career and could begin to slow down due to age. Rierdon could become a major factor in net for the organization in the future.

There are several questions surrounding the team heading into the new season. Will the Twisters’ young defensive core hold up? Will the new free agents mesh with the current roster? Can one of the younger teams in the league maintain its success? Most importantly, can the most historic franchise in the LTLHL capture its third championship?
 

Only time will tell as Season 6 gets underway.

The Portland Twisters are 2 points ahead of the Bandits for the North West divison and 8 in front of the Samurai. Only 2 points behind the Chaos for a bye in the first round. Looking at my shecdule for the final 13 games for the Twisters, they only play a playoff team 5 times, which will be crucial to beat out the Bandits. In the Bandits final 13 games they play a playoff team 12 times. Those games will be some tough games for the Bandits to win and the Twisters should pull away with the division. The Bandits and Twisters play each other 3 times in the last 13. In the season series the Twister have the slight advantage of 3-1-1 outscoring them 19-16. This indicates that the Twisters should win at least 2 out of the 3 games. 

Taking a look at the trades that the Twisters made. The first one was Osma Gullfors for Jake Corbin, Gullfors has 4 points in 4 games, Corbin has 2 points in 2 games. Gm Boston had this to say '' Gullfors is a good player but didn't fit the win now mode that we are trying to accomplish here in Portland.'' Here is his comments on accquring Corbin ''He felt the win now mode and has a good resume on the season''. The second trade that the Gm made was accquring Reed Chubak and the High Rollers fourth rounder for Zackary Nowry. The comments from the Gm on the trade '' Nowry had a great season but struggled a bit with us and looking into the future he is 35 and a free agent this year asking for 2 million for 3 years and we didnt want to lose him for nothing. So we traded him to the Bandits for a good prospect''. Taking a look on how Norwy is performing for the Bandits, he has 10 points in 4 games. Looking at Chubuk, Chubak is coming back for a leg injury and is set to suit up for the vipers in the next game. Here is what the Gm said '' Chubak is set to come back tomorrow and except him to perform well for us''. 

Looking at the offseason for the Twisters, they have 3 important players to re-sign, and I can comfirm that they will try to sign all of them and we be very active in the free agent market. Looking at the draft picks the Twister traded their first and third round picks in trades and have a second, 2 fourth rounders, fifth rounder. Here is what the Gm said about the offseason '' The Twisters are very excited for the offseason and can't wait to draft, I have had some scouts looking for good prospects and they have found tons which is great news to hear. Talking about the free agents I hope we can come to a team friendly agreement with those players and think they will have a big impact on your future in Portland''. The Twisters have a very exciting team with having 3 of the top 6 scorers and have a should be very good team for years to come.

On April 16th I traded my teams top 2 players and I looked to trade a lot more of my players. Flash foward to June 14th I am 1 point out of first place in my division and sitting comfortably in the playoffs. I have made 10 out of the 19 trades in the leauge which is around 52%. The top 2 biggest ones was getting Ash Galvin for Ventis Rekis, Nevin Callaghan, Corbin Brossoit. I was very shocked when the Seattle Samurai wanted to trade their young star goaile however I knew I had to jump in and get him. The trade talks lasted around an hour and the bargain was high but by the end of negotations i was able baragain for a lower trade deal. The trade made an instance impact for my team with Galvin winning his first 2 games and being a leader in net. However, I will admit I traded a lot of my depth with this trade. However in typical Boston fashion, I traded draft picks and prospect for depth players.I would give this trade an A+++ and B+ for the Samurai.  W My next big trade was with the Edmonton Blizzard which was Ali Kurakov, Jermiah Plaxton, Urbanus Suihkonen for Bodgan Laptev, and Zachary Andjelic, Year 2 round 1, Year 3 round 2. This was a HUGH trade for both of us, which saw my team aquiring Edmonton Blizzard's top 2 scorers while I traded my best 2 prospects . This trade took forever to make but worth it for both sides. I would give this trade an A+ for the Blizzard and an A- for the Twisters. I feel like Elliotte Friedman right now, another massive trade just happened between the Twisters and the Muertos. I sent Pelle Jonson, Kevin Elson for Zackary Nowry, Michal England and Toby Hornbrook. This trade was hot for a while about a week ago but then died down so I bargained for other players but while I was writing this article the Muertos offered good trade and after a few minor adjustments left both teams happy. I give the Muertos an A and the Twisters a B+. 

I want to shoutout Micheal for saving me from making a trade with him since it saved me some good prospects and I hope he makes the playoffs. Another person is Alex ( Cape Cod Stringrays) for being a good trade partner. Also Clarke too for letting me fleece him a couple time ( wink face). Finally lets give our condolences to Cameron. Clarke and I are making big baller moves and he is just watching us. It's like the one Spongebob meme where Spongebob and Patrick are laughing and Squidward is just watching them from a distance knowing he'll never be a part of it . Have a good rest of the season Cameron hope you finally make some trades and sorry for stealing your players.
