Motor City receives Johnny Leclair and Terence Bruneau.

New Bedford, Mass. – Cape Cod Stingrays General Manager Alex Berard announced today, March 11th, that the team has acquired forward Ike Currer from the Motor City Mustangs and a Year 4, fourth round pick in exchange for forward Terence Bruneau, defenseman Johnny Leclair.
Currer, 26, has appeared in 117 games for the Mustangs in Year 1 and 2, recording 18 goals and 32 assists for 50 points and a minus-17 rating. The American native was originally selected by Motor City in the 13th round (311st overall) of the 2023 Inaugural Player Dispersal Draft. Currer is expected to make his Stingrays debut tonight, 3/11, against division rivals New York Knights.
Bruneau, 32, has skated 133 games for the Stingrays in two seasons, tallying 27 goals and 46 assist for 73 points and a minus-five rating. The Canadian native was acquired by Cape Cod in the 17th round (396th overall) of the 2023 Inaugural Player Dispersal Draft.
Leclair, 24, has skated 66 games for the Stingrays in Year 1, tallying 2 goals and 10 assists for 12 points and a minus-three rating. Leclair also skated 37 games for the farm organization in two seasons, the Cape Elizabeth Schooners tallying 3 goals and 11 assists for 14 points and a plus-two rating. The Canadian native went undrafted and was acquired by Cape Cod in the farm league Player Dispersal Draft.
